A little bit of Magic
It is certified as undeniable that there is something special about being underwater. From the mystery, the flourishing life, the gear and gadgets, or the cool and fun tricks we learn. Some of my favorite underwater tricks and training include Navigation, Diver Propulsion Vehicles (DPVs), Wreck Diving, Filming, and Bubble Rings! These bubble rings are an inspiration from another instructor friend of mine, Alejo Bustillo, more widely known as The Lord of the Bubble Rings. Check out my latest step in my newest side-quest as I work to conjure a magic bubble ring seemingly from nowhere. Alejo invented this technique himself, and has been gracious enough to share some of its secrets with me.
PADI Certifications
The first step in entering the dive world is to become a certified diver. Certification begin with the PADI Open Water Diver certification. This course is the foundation for all the diving you will ever do both with and without a scuba tank. Teaching essential skills to prepare you for almost any environment you can dive in a recreational setting, the Open Water Course is the first step into a brand new world.
As you hone your skills and grow more confident with the gear in the water, the next certification is the PADI Adavanced Open Water course. This program challenges you to master your skills and take you deeper (pun definitely intended) into the world of scuba. Advanced Open water opens the door to new possibilities, technology, gear, and environments. Like upgrading from your first car to a 4x4 off-roader, its time to take things to the next level.
After the Advanced Open Water course, it's time to start looking beyond yourself as a diver. Rescue Diver begins to train you to save yourself and others from almost any possible situation you could encounter in the water. These skills will serve you beyond the realm of diving, as well. Rescue Diver is a noble and proud group of divers, dedicating themselves as first-responders and heroes among the dive group.
